Each piece of IT equipment is an asset to the company that owns it, however IT equipment is not a company’s core business and therefore it is not always a priority to ensure that a record is kept of the relevant information required to keep equipment and accessories in operational order.

JMR IT Consultants will undertake a full audit as part of all Service Level Agreements. This audit will supply the client with the following information:

• manufacturer
• model name
• model number
• serial number (where
• warranty information
• date purchased
• individual component
• software details include verison being used
• any configuration settings
• significant characteristic information
• relevant passwords
• date of last maintenance check

This information allows the client to identify equipment and accessories for depreciation purposes etc. and allows JMR to easily identify equipment and software that requires updates and other information that may be beneficial when dealing with an issue.
